Dee Hoffman, Ph.D., Consultant

Dee Hoffman previously worked as an internal organization development consultant with General Electric, with focus on employee involvement and self-regulating work teams, training and empowerment. She also worked for the State of California in the area of Quality Assurance. Dr. Hoffman participates in the CHRS practice areas of Compensation and Implementing Major Change. She specializes in work design, work team implementation, individual, team, and organization assessment and development.

Other areas of specialization include labor-management partnership implementation and gainsharing support. Dr. Hoffman has made presentations at various conferences on topics such as team leadership and team reward systems. She has also co-authored a chapter on team design in Work Group Design (edited by Eric Sundstrom).

She received her doctorate in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Tennessee and holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco. Dr. Hoffman’s experience includes work with the Saturn Corporation, Whirlpool, Carrier, Ciba-Geigy (Novartis), Kennametal, Davol, Alcan and others.
