Joseph Perna

Joseph E. Perna, Partner - is a management consultant with over thirty-five years of industrial experience. His work focuses on business transformation, organization change and improvement, talent management and reward strategies. Mr. Perna offers consulting services to companies interested in improving operational results by leveraging organizational performance and improving capabilities of individuals, processes and groups.

Mr. Perna has held positions in the corporate sector in operations and human resources. As VP, Operations at two RF microwave companies, one of which received the Manufacturing Excellence award from the Manufacturing Extension Partnership, his team implemented lean operational improvements leading to gains in cost, delivery and product quality. In human resources, he held executive positions responsible for talent management, rewards strategy, and organization development, including the implementation of high performance manufacturing teams. He also serves on the board of directors of a medical device manufacturing corporation.

Mr. Perna has presented at the Society of Manufacturing Engineering, ASTD, World Customer Service Congress, The Center for the Study of Work Teams, and other conferences on employee involvement, work and organization assessment and design, and organization change. Mr. Perna has lectured at the Rutgers University Graduate School of Management and has published on cross-functional team development. His client relationships have included Whirlpool, Pitney Bowes, Kohler Company, John Deere, Harley-Davidson, Merck-Medco, McKesson and the Georgia Power Company.
